Ethics & Private Practice - Virtual CEU Workshop

This 2 hour workshop is designed for therapists who want to deepen their understanding of ethical considerations in private practice. The workshop will cover a range of topics, including:

• Ethical principles:

  The four main ethical principles (beneficence, non-maleficence, autonomy, and justice) and how they apply to private practice.

• Common ethical dilemmas:

  Examples of common ethical dilemmas that therapists may face, such as dual relationships, confidentiality, and informed consent.

• Ethical decision-making:

  A framework for making ethical decisions, including how to identify ethical issues, gather information, consider options, and weigh the risks and benefits.

• Ethical documentation:

  The importance of ethical documentation in private practice, including what to document and how to document it.

By the end of this workshop, therapists will have a better understanding of their ethical obligations and be equipped to navigate the complexities of private practice.

Monalisa G. Bryant, a distinguished Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor, is a dynamic speaker, consultant, and passionate mental health advocate dedicated to fostering dialogues and initiatives that champion psychological well-being and advocate for holistic approaches to promote personal and professional growth. With a diverse professional background, she has 10+ years of experience within the mental wellness field, spanning community-based programs, private practice setting, and the criminal justice system. • This workshop is approved for 2.0 Ethics CEU credits.

• You are responsible for checking with your licensure board for approval of CEUs.

• In order to obtain CEH credit, participants attending via live Zoom are required to keep their cameras on for the duration of the seminar.

• This workshop meets the CEU requirements for Texas LPC 50% rule.
