The Experience




This workshop will explore the ethical considerations involved in providing teletherapy services. Participants will learn about the ethical guidelines and best practices specific to teletherapy, including issues such as informed consent, confidentiality, technological competence, and cultural sensitivity. By the end of the workshop, participants will be equipped to provide ethical and effective teletherapy services.


Presenter:

Monalisa G. Bryant, a distinguished Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor, is a dynamic speaker, consultant, and passionate mental health advocate dedicated to fostering dialogues and initiatives that champion psychological well-being and advocate for holistic approaches to promote personal and professional growth. With a diverse professional background, she has 10+ years of experience within the mental wellness field, spanning community-based programs, private practice setting, and the criminal justice system.

  • Understand the ethical principles that apply to teletherapy.

  • Learn about the specific ethical challenges and considerations in teletherapy.

  • Develop strategies for addressing ethical dilemmas in teletherapy.

  • Gain knowledge of the technological and legal aspects of teletherapy.

  • Recognize potential boundary issues and dual relationships in teletherapy.

This workshop is designed for mental health professionals who are interested in learning about ethical considerations in teletherapy practice or expanding their teletherapy services.

CEU Information:

  • This workshop is approved for 2.0 Ethics CEU credits for LPC in Texas and Louisiana.

  • If you hold a license other than the above, then you are responsible for checking with your licensure board for approval of CEUs.

  • Registration is required and payment is due at the time of registration.

  • Please bring a pen and paper or device to take notes.

  • Lunch will be provided, please list any dietary restrictions when registering.
