Learn everything you need to know about starting your own private therapy practice, including business planning, systems, marketing, legal and ethical considerations, and more. This 2-hour workshop will provide you with the tools and resources to launch a successful practice.


Presenter:

Monalisa G. Bryant, a distinguished Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor, is a dynamic speaker, consultant, and passionate mental health advocate dedicated to fostering dialogues and initiatives that champion psychological well-being and advocate for holistic approaches to promote personal and professional growth. With a diverse professional background, she has 10+ years of experience within the mental wellness field, spanning community-based programs, private practice setting, and the criminal justice system. Monalisa owns Master Peace Wellness & Consulting, PLLC, a thriving therapy group practice in Houston, Texas.


Objectives:

This workshop will provide you with the essential steps to starting your own private therapy practice. You will learn about key topics such as:

  • Choosing a business structure

  • Completing Certificate of Formation Process with Secretary of State

  • Setting up your office or virtual space

  • HIPAA Compliant systems and applications necessary for efficiency

  • Marketing your practice

  • Managing your finances

  • Ethical considerations during the startup process


Who This Workshop Is For:

This workshop is intended for licensed therapists, counselors, social workers, and psychologists who are looking to start a private practice.


Investment:

  • $100 - Fully Licensed mental health professionals

  • $50 - Provisionally Licensed, Associates, Graduate Interns


CEU Credits:

  • This workshop is approved for 2.0 Ethics CEU credits for LPC in Texas and Louisiana.

  • If you hold a license other than the above, then you are responsible for checking with your licensure board for approval of CEUs.
